"Rengashis' Room" is a visual translation of the multilingual poetry cycle Renga by Octavio Paz, Jacques Roubaud, Edoardo Sanguineti and Charles Tomlinson, created in a hotel basement in 1969. Shot over several weeks in a hotel room during the 2020/21 lockdown, Lea Hopp's film work shows how isolation and the in-between of languages can become the vehicle for a poetic moment.
